TOM PALMER:

Tom comes to the Real Aussie Kids Program as part of the partnership between Drapac Porsche and RAK junior development programs.  This highly talented cyclist is the current Junior World Kilo Champion, having competed as a member of the Australian Team at the Junior World Track Championships in Mexico in 2007. He also won a bronze medal in the Teams Pursuit.

16 year-old Tom is currently studying year 12 at St. Edmonds College in Canberra. Tom volunteers a lot of his time with his local cycling club and is passionate about mentoring some of the younger cyclists in Canberra.

Tom's impressive resume also includes several junior national and state championship titles. In 2006, Tom was named 'Champion of Champions' of the Junior National Track Championships after a medal haul of two gold, two silver and one bronze.

Sporting History

  • Played numerous sports including gymnastics but nothing that I had committed to until I started cycling at nine years of age. Within a few months it was my only sport and has been since.
